Where to Play Emberville, and Why There's No Price Yet
Emberville is listed on Steam and GOG for October 27, 2026. How the two storefronts differ, what DRM-free means for you, and why neither page shows a price.

Right now Emberville is only listed in two places: Steam (AppID 2295170) and GOG.
Both open Early Access on October 27, 2026.
No price has been published. Steam shows no price block and GOG shows only a “Coming soon” label and a wishlist button. So this isn’t a moment for price comparison — it’s a moment to wishlist both and wait for the notification.
How the two storefronts differ
| Item | Steam | GOG |
|---|---|---|
| Release date | October 27, 2026 Early Access | October 27, 2026 Early Access |
| DRM | Requires the Steam client | DRM-free. No activation, no online check |
| Extra client | Steam | GOG Galaxy not required |
| Achievements | Yes | Yes |
| Cloud saves | Yes | Yes |
| Family Sharing | Yes | — |
| Controller | Full support, Steam Input API, DualShock/DualSense | Handled by the game itself |
| Price | Not announced | Not announced |
For most people the deciding factor is DRM. The GOG build installs and runs offline with no activation. The Steam build buys you achievements, cloud saves, Family Sharing and Steam Input.
Why there’s no price yet
It’s release pacing, not a missing field. The game isn’t on sale yet, so the stores only surface a release date and a wishlist entry. When checked, Steam’s store API genuinely returned no price data.
One caution: the studio has never said Early Access will be discounted, and never said 1.0 will cost more. The “cheaper if you buy early” line going around has no primary source.
What to do before launch
- Open the Steam page and click Add to your wishlist.
- Open the GOG page and click Wishlist it.
- With both set, the platforms notify you when buying opens.
- Follow the official channels too — price tends to arrive with a pre-order or launch announcement.
What to check on launch day
- Price and edition. Confirm it’s the Early Access build and that the price is final.
- Which store. Want offline play and no extra client? GOG. Want cloud saves and Family Sharing? Steam.
- Whether your PC runs it. Read the system requirements page before you buy, not after.
- The EULA. The Steam page notes a third-party end user licence agreement.
- Cross-store saves. Whether Steam and GOG saves transfer hasn’t been stated. Don’t assume they do.
