On July 18, 2026 the studio revealed Emberville’s complete voice cast in one post: 22 actors, with Alex Jordan as voice director.
This wasn’t a footnote. It got its own announcement and its own reveal video.

The mix of veteran AAA performers and content creators is deliberate.
Confirmed character roles
The studio announced the cast, not who plays whom. Only two pairings have been confirmed, both through media hands-on reporting:

IGN described Gumu as a “gremlin-like shopkeeper” and Adeos as “elderly and not quite all there”. Both appear in the Prologue.
Why the cast is worth noting
IGN wrote it plainly: “I don’t tend to associate A-tier voice acting with games that look like Emberville.”
The studio’s own announcement says they were “speechless, enamored and humbled by the sheer talent involved”.
For a pixel-art indie game, spending here is a visible trade-off. In the 2025 Q&A the studio said voice acting “would literally over double our budget” and that Early Access wouldn’t be fully voiced.

Language coverage
Steam lists 30 supported languages, and English is flagged for full audio (the asterisk in the language table). Everything else gets interface and subtitles.
Which languages will eventually have audio has not been broken out separately.
